Las Vegas F1, SEMA and Sphere Transportation Planning for 2026
How to move through three of the busiest stretches of the Las Vegas calendar: the SEMA Show, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and show nights at Sphere. Updated October 1, 2026.
The dates that matter
SEMA Show 2026 runs November 3-6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 3150 Paradise Road. Show hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 3, 4 and 5, and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 6. The show is trade-only, and it opens to the general public only on Friday, November 6.
The Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 is listed by Formula 1 for November 19-21, 2026, as Round 21 of the season. That puts the race weekend about two weeks after SEMA closes, so hotels, restaurants and the Strip stay busy for most of the month.
Sphere is at 255 Sands Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89169, just off the Strip near the Venetian. Its calendar changes often and individual dates are published through the venue and its ticketing page, so use the date and door time printed on your ticket rather than a date you saw in a listing.

Road closures around the Strip circuit
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is a street race, so closures reshape how cars reach Strip resorts. We have not yet been able to confirm the official 2026 closure schedule, so we are not publishing hour-by-hour closure times for this year. The county publishes a circuit-impacts notice before each race, and you should read the 2026 version as soon as it appears.
For a sense of scale, the Clark County notice for the 2025 race weekend listed track closures starting at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of race week, with roads reopening to local traffic in the early hours after each session, and a full 24-hour closure of Koval Lane from Rochelle Avenue to Harmon Avenue from November 15 to November 24. Treat that as last year's pattern, not a 2026 promise.
What this means for planning: assume that on race days you may not be able to reach the Strip frontage of a hotel in the afternoon or evening, and that the pickup door can move. Tell us the hotel tower and your event timing when you book, and we will confirm the practical pickup point with you before the day.

Timing: build buffer, not a tight schedule
- SEMA days: The Convention Center campus is busiest near the 9:00 a.m. opening and again after the 5:00 p.m. close. If you have a meeting at the doors, plan to be dropped well before it starts, and ask for a staging point away from the main curb for the return.
- Race week: Plan hotel departures earlier than you normally would and agree a backup pickup point in case your first choice is inside a closed area.
- Sphere nights: Arrivals and departures bunch together around door and show-end times. Leave a cushion before the show and do not schedule a tight dinner reservation straight after.
- Airport days: Flights into Harry Reid International (LAS) on race and SEMA days run with heavier road traffic. Give us your flight number so the pickup follows your actual arrival.
Hotel pickups
Large Strip resorts have several towers, valet lanes and ride-share areas, and during events some of them change. When you book, give us the resort, the tower, the guest name on the reservation and a mobile number that will be answered. If you are going to the Convention Center, say which hall or entrance you need. If you are going to Sphere, say whether you are walking in from a nearby resort or being picked up from a separate address.
For groups across several rooms, send one lead contact and a manifest. One person who can confirm changes is worth more than five people texting different plans.
Choosing the vehicle
| Vehicle | Best for | Hourly (3-hour min) |
|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | One to three guests, light luggage, SEMA meetings | From $120/hr ($360 minimum) |
| First Class SUV | Families, extra bags, hosted clients, race weekend | From $150/hr ($450 minimum) |
| Mercedes S-Class | Executives and VIP arrivals | From $230/hr ($690 minimum) |
| Sprinter Van | Teams and groups of up to 12 | From $240/hr ($720 minimum) |
S-Class and Sprinter are starting rates. The booking form confirms the final price, which can vary with taxes, tolls and availability. See the full rates page and the fleet.
Hourly vs transfer
A transfer is the right choice for one move: LAS to your hotel, or your hotel to the Convention Center. Point-to-point floors are $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV.
Hourly service is the better fit when your day has several parts: a morning at SEMA, a lunch with a client, a return to the hotel to change, then a show or race session in the evening. With the vehicle and chauffeur held for you, you avoid re-booking, and you can adjust when a closure or a delay moves things. Hourly service has a 3-hour minimum.
For more on each option, see convention transfers, show and concert transportation and hourly charter.
